Delete Fails WP:NOTSTATS, WP:NRIVALRY and WP:GNG. We've deleted a number of lists like this in the past where there is no rivalry between the sides, and this is another case of this. Rugbyfan22 (talk) 17:49, 3 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Do not delete There is a rivalry between Japan and the two North American teams, USA and Canada. Canada more so, as Japan and Canada have played each dating back to 1932, and have played each other the most of any teams outside there own continent. However, the rivalry with the U.S. is strong and the two teams share a strong history, playing early tours back and forth, before competing in the Pacific Rim Championship, the Pacific Nations Cup, and not to mention their World Cup matches (1987, 2003, 2015). Since they first met each other back in 1985, they have played each on average 0.65 per year. This will most likely drop as Japan has become a tier one nation.
